60 foster kids to Wise County

I heard that there were 60 foster kids coming to wise county, because they don't have any homes after the hurricane
what do yall think about that?

Wow!..60...thats alot...i mean i feel sorry for them..b/c families were split up (of course) homes were destroyed....thats really sad..i was watching CNN last night and LeAnn Rimes was singing Amazing Grace and they were showing clips of pics from the hurricane..and i literally cried..to see all them lil kids..with nothing now is so pitiful!!...

Personally ...i wouldn't mind as long as we were helping these people because i mean it is really sad ...all the kids without parents and noone to help take care of them ...that is awful...b/c i know that is has to be really hard on them especially the young kids b/c me being 18 i still dont know what i would do if something like that happened to me and i didnt have my parents!!

Yeah i know what ya mean....even tho my mom and dad are divorced and i never see my dad and me and my mom barely get along..i dont know what i would do if anything ever happened to either one of them...

i think they should be welcomed because if it were us, or you, me, etc... we would want somewhere to live too..besides a shelter or somethin like that...i think thats its very generous of ppl to take them in...

Hopefully the people in the area can help these kids out, and give them some good guidance.

I was told it would be families not just children. With them possibly locating here for good. That Wise Co. was doing this themselves without any funding other than some help from a few places to get the families here.
Plus also help them get jobs locally should they decide to stay. That most wanted to relocate away from Hurricane allie and to a location, where they could find medium paying jobs, and get a fresh start.

It could be families to but that is nice of wise county to take in those people and help them out.

I think it shows a lot of what the county can do and is trying to do, to help the people who need somewhere to locate and the assistance to get back on their feet.
One thing about this area. Most people rally around the country when things turn bad.
Big thumbs up to our county administrator and others who are undertaking this effort.
